Sports Park Savsko naselje in Ljubljana is a modern recreational area designed for active leisure, sports, and socializing for all generations. Following a comprehensive renovation, the park offers diverse sports infrastructure, well-maintained green areas, and a pleasant environment for relaxation in nature.
The renovated park has been enriched with various sports and recreational elements as well as other areas for active free time. It features two new multi-purpose courts and two new padel courts, upgraded basketball and tennis courts along with improved paths and access points. Nine new playground elements have been installed, and the skate park has been renovated. The sports zones include seven fitness stations, a walking and running track with lighting, as well as areas for sitting and relaxation with 34 new benches. The log cabin and changing rooms have also been partially renovated.
The renovation also focused on improving the natural environment. Seventy new trees and additional shrubs have been planted, contributing to a more pleasant microclimate and reducing summer heat. Visitors have access to resting areas with new benches, a drinking fountain, waste bins, and bicycle racks. The entire park is designed to be inclusive, making it accessible to the elderly, families with strollers, and people with disabilities.
For safety reasons, the park is fenced and closed at night after 22:00, but during the day it provides an accessible and well-maintained space for everyday recreation, relaxation, and socializing in the city.
