The Ježica Sports Hall is nestled in nature on the outskirts of Ljubljana. In addition to being home to ŽKD and KD Ježica, the hall is used for sports activities by kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, as well as clubs for basketball, handball, and volleyball training and competitions.
The sports hall can be divided into two halves, allowing for the setup of two basketball courts. When the hall is used as a full court for official matches, retractable stands can be installed, accommodating around 450 spectators. There is also balcony standing space for approximately 50 more viewers. The facility includes six changing rooms, business offices, and a meeting room.
In past decades, the stands of the iconic Ježica hall were filled by fans of the Ježica women’s basketball team, which competed successfully even in the European league. The meeting room still displays pennants from visiting teams across Europe that played in Ježica during the 1980s and 1990s.
Ježica Hall was also used as a filming location for scenes in the film Čefurji raus! by Goran Vojnović. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the hall served as a shelter for citizens stranded in Ljubljana on their way home.
