The largest Slovenian feline society, Felinološko društvo Ljubljana, organises an international cat show every year, which is one of the most important feline events in the region. This year’s show takes place on 23 and 24 May 2026 at the Velika dvorana of Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana.
At the show, pedigree and selected domestic cats compete for prestigious titles according to the rules of the governing organisation FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline), including the coveted Best in Show and Best of Best titles. The event regularly attracts exhibitors and breeders from Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Hungary and other neighbouring countries.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see around 200 cats of numerous different breeds in a wide variety of colour variations, from solid to multicoloured, tabby, spotted or plain, from longhaired to hairless, from large to smaller breeds. Some breeds are extremely rare in Slovenia, which is yet another reason to visit.

Visitor vote for the most beautiful cat and presentation of the winner, breed presentations, Best in Show and Best of Best selection as part of the competitive programme, vendor stalls with a colourful range of cat-related products, a drawing corner for children and an info stand with information about the society, breeding and cat care.
