As managers of sports facilities for high-quality and top-class sports, it is our responsibility to keep up with the constant developments in individual sports and the rules set by national and international sports federations. This ensures that our facilities are set up to meet the necessary conditions for national and international competitions. At Šport Ljubljana, our work and development programme prioritizes the conditions necessary for the implementation of the agreed-upon sports programme. Once this is established, we can then focus on other activities that can take place in the facilities and on the sports grounds managed by the institute.
Sport Ljubljana operates in the manner and under the conditions applicable to a public service, namely:
• It manages sports facilities.

• Ensures the normal operation of all the facilities it manages.
• Rents out the sports facilities and the premises therein to the operators of the MOL Annual Sport Programme and to other users and shall coordinate the interests of the individual users.

Sport is an increasingly important human activity and part of the general culture, which is an important enrichment of individual life and an element of quality of life. Sport motivates, educates, inspires a zest for life, teaches to endure victory and defeat, a sense of respect for oneself and one’s opponents, respect for rules, discipline and the acquisition of a positive self-image.
Mission of Sport Ljubljana is to ensure a quality and active life for all citizens. In doing so, the institution makes an important contribution to improving the situation and attitudes in the field of sport, pursues the objectives set by the MOL and realises them for the benefit of the public interest.
Aim and purpose of the Institute’s activities is to care for and maintain the existing state of the sports infrastructure, to participate in the planning and construction of a quality network of new sports facilities and areas in Ljubljana, and to offer a wide range of sports and other activities.
Vision of Sport Ljubljana is to follow and live the values of solidarity, respect, cleanliness, kindness, green and sustainability, to build on them in partnership and to pass them on to future generations.
