Kodeljevo Sports Hall includes a large and a small sports hall.
The large hall is used by secondary schools for physical education, the Faculty of Sport for lectures and exercises, clubs for sports training and competitions, as well as by others for recreational sports. At the same time, the large hall is also available for the organization of various cultural and entertainment events.
The small sports hall is mostly used by sports clubs that organize training in sports dance, taekwondo, and karate.
The stands in the hall have 1,370 seats.
Kodeljevo Sports Hall has been the centre of sports in this part of Ljubljana for decades, and many well-known Slovenian athletes have trained here. Some made their first sporting steps in the hall, while others called it home for just a few years. The home clubs are RD Slovan and KD Slovan. Handball players Uroš Zorman, Andrej Kastelic, and Ognjen Backovič, as well as basketball players Rašo Nesterović, Jaka Lakovič, Goran and Zoran Dragić, Jaka Blažič, Miha Zupan, and Gašper Vidmar all honed their skills here.
In the past ten years, the hall has hosted matches of the Krim Mercator Handball Club in the Women’s Champions League, the finals of the Spar Cup basketball event, games of the women’s national basketball and handball teams, and international competitions in cheerleading and gymnastics.
The hall also houses a meeting room dedicated to the memory of Marjan Rožanc, where the names of all recipients of the Marjan Rožanc Award since 1992 are displayed on the wall. The Marjan Rožanc Award is the highest sports recognition of the City of Ljubljana, awarded to amateur sports workers, athletes, sports educators, professional sports workers, and sports journalists for outstanding sports achievements in the past year or for successful long-term work.
