ICE SKATING RECREATION | |
CLOSED UNTIL OCTOBER 2025 |
Both the large “ice” hall and the small hall were built as a part of the Tivoli Hall as early as 1965, when the new premises hosted the first two events – a concert by L. Armstrong and the World Table Tennis Championships – SPENT. In 2015, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Tivoli Hall. In its rich history, the Tivoli Hall has hosted major international sporting events such as the World and European Championships in basketball, hockey, gymnastics, table tennis, and figure skating.
The Tivoli Hall comprises office space for sports clubs, the Republican sports federations and the Ljubljana sports federations. Both halls are equipped with all the accompanying facilities for the organisation of major sports events: office space, commentator areas and studios for radio and TV teams, VIP lounges, changing rooms, warehouses, and two catering facilities.
The large “ice” hall covers an area of 3.600 m2 and has a capacity of 6.800 seats. Due to its ice surface, it is used for most of the season for training and matches of hockey teams, individual ice sports, and recreational activities. Every year, hundreds of thousands of recreational players and many students from schools in and around Ljubljana visit the small and large ice hall. Winter days are even more beautiful in Ljubljana, as the cold days are brightened up by recreational skaters at the outdoor skating rink.
